  1. Apps pause. Learning begins. A few age-appropriate problems, then back to what they love. The real Brainy Break start screen, shown on iOS or iPadOS 26.5 or later.
  2. Five little problems. Counting, sums and spelling chosen for Eva’s age. She is counting six apples in the third activity of her break.
  3. Then back to their fun. Five problems finished. The Nice work screen confirms another ten minutes unlocked.
  4. Start with their own profile. Add Eva’s name, birth month and year, and her own colour.
  5. You choose the rhythm. Five problems after ten minutes of app use, with controls to change either any time.
  6. Numbers. Words. A little variety. Real activities show 3 + 4 and spelling APPLE using letter tiles.
  7. A little easier. Or harder. Settings let a parent choose Easier, Default or Harder for each profile.
  8. Make breaks fit your day. The schedule shows weekdays selected from 17:00 to 18:00.
  9. Set a limit for the day. One hour selected for paused apps while Brainy Break is on. The limit applies separately to each device.
  10. Their own pace. Their own profile. Eva and Milo each have their own activities, timing and difficulty.

Over 1,600 activities across five age groups, from matching colours to sums and spelling. Choose your child’s age and Brainy Break picks questions for them.

    Colours and shapes

    Tap the matching colour. Drag the shape home. No reading needed.

  • Ages 4–5

    Counting

    How many apples? Count them and tap the number. Some breaks are a line to trace instead.

  • Ages 6–7

    Adding and spelling

    Adding within ten, counting to ten, and familiar short words with letters supplied for picture spelling.

  • Ages 8–9

    Adding and spelling

    Adding within 100 without carrying, and familiar local spellings. Picture-word answers typed in.

  • Ages 10+

    Harder sums, longer words

    Times tables to 10 × 10, addition within 1,000, and longer everyday words.

    A wrong answer says Not quite — try again. Nothing is scored, counted or compared.

    Each child gets their own name, age and colour. Profiles stay in sync across iPhones and iPads using the same Apple Account, with iCloud on.

Automatic schedules
Choose the days and times for each device. Brainy Break switches on and off when the device is next used after those times. Your PIN lets you change plans.
Adjustable difficulty
Easier, Default or Harder, chosen by you for each child. Start gently, with room to try more when they’re ready.
